Default Currently looking for a home...

I should be shot because this is so not the time to get into real estate, but we just got a new addition to our family so our living quarters where we are now are so cramped.

Tell me what you think about this...we are looking for a single family home in Union county that has at least three bedrooms, two and a half baths, with a formal living room and a dining room. Our bonuses are a two car garage, a family room, updated kitchen and baths, with a spacious finished basement for DH.

Here is the kicker...I want it all and I don't want to spend over 300k for it.

Am I a loser or a winner?

Its a buyers market right now so if you dont presently own then it might not be so bad. Are you or Hubby (or SO) handy ? Might be able to get a fixer upper..

I'm not handy and hubby isn't either...we were talking about getting a fixer upper in PA because we'd get a larger home with more land. That's if we wanted to get a fixxer upper.

Well NJ is expensive even for a fixer upper in PA you might not need to get a fixer upper.

Thank you trickster!

PA is far from my work so I don't even know about going there. My mom was telling me to go down South Jersey where she is. She said that Hamilton, Sicklerville and Turnersville are good cities and that the houses are cheaper down there versus where I am now. I live about 10 mins away from downtown Manhattan currently.
