Finally! You had to rough it a bit and live without the taken-for-granted every-day ammenities like power, cable, internet (I have a Sprint broadband card besides my ADSL and use it when nothing else is available... try it).
And it made you show up at the office, golly! Your workmates must have had a collective heart attack.
Hot? Ever heard of hand-held fans? Hold one firmly in a hand and launguidly sway it back and forth to effect a nice wave of more or less cold air... my grandma used that and never complained.

We had a bad storm on Monday night and it struck a tree which ripped up two poles and knocked down lots of wires. The lights are on...but the cable is off in my area and in some other counties so that means no internet unless I go to work.
