CNet reported that about 20 million households or 18% are without internet access. This disconnected minority is clearly an indication of the deep American digitial divide.
Ya know, back before we got the internet I never thought it was a big deal, but now, after having used it for almost a decade, I'm not sure if I could get through my day to day activities without it, lol
Maybe it sounds presumtuous but I have been involved with the 'net for about 35 years in one capacity or another... still remember the old Cray Super Computer at the UCSD campus... to think nowadays you can harness all that power (with change to spare) on a measly HP Server with a quad Xeon cpu chip....!!!!
