Default Funeral services held for East Brunswick paratrooper killed in Afghanistan

MILLTOWN: Hundreds of family, friends and community members turned out at Our Lady of Lourdes
Church this morning for a memorial mass for Cpl. Steven R. Koch, the 23-year-old U.S. Army
paratrooper from East Brunswick who was killed last week while serving in Afghanistan.

In a service attended by servicemen from Koch's own 82nd Airborne Division, some of whom
served as pallbearers, he was honored for giving his life for his family and his country.

The hour-long mass was preceded by a vehicle procession from Selover Funeral Home in North
Brunswick, which at one point was led by members of the Middlesex County Police & Fire Pipes &
Drums.
