lol, how many days to break an old habit?
I'm not currently part of a gym, but will be joining one this coming week, $25 a month and it's a really nice gym. I'm actually using a blog as a sort of anchor for my weight loss and new healthy lifestyle, I have my next 5 years of weight loss goals planned down to an ounce, lol. Good luck.

You will be joining a gymnasium? Honest? Das grat! And no, I am not kidding or teasing you when I say this: No more BBQs for you, ok? Sorry. It is really of no use to go to a gymnasium if you just keep your old eating habits, man.
Maybe God is telling you something with all that rain He has been doling out on your BBQ days, huh? Amen to that, dude.
Other than that... go for it. I know you can do it... and will.
PS... drink a lot of water daily... at least half a gallon. It will help you a lot.

Yeah, and believe me, I know, I'm actualy starting on a 1,700 calorie per day diet, and before I join the gym I am planning on taking at least a mile walk every morning, which is where I'm going after I post this.

Maybe so, or at least I hope so, but couldn't He at least have let me had one last party before I started my diet

I already drink like 8 .5L bottles everyday, or the equivilent of a gallon, so drinking water, no prob, I think I drink maybe 1 soda a week if that, and I don't comsume hardly anything with caffiene in it.

I was dieting years ago and I lost 25 lbs in 6 months. I was very satisified with my lost, but I just didn't feel healthy. I had to cut out a lot of foods that I'd liked. My goal is to go back to that lifestyle and scarifice for a bit. With gas prices the way they are, its not going to be that hard. I have a novel for you that I thought was excellent: Its called Eat Right for Your Blood Type. Not everyone reponds to the same weight loss program.
There are some mixed reviews in reference to caffiene. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/caffeine/HQ00369

what a great idea. you should really market that part of the blog. the 5 year weight loss plan. document the whole 9 and be very specific and honest. people love that. a few ads after you get readers will def not hurt.
a few cpa weight loss offers might be good for post advertising.

Congratulations n hope you do well on your new lifestyle change! I don't know about you but I'm gonna be 45....My weight has been up and down for almost all my life...there was a time I actually wore a sz 2x. I am now down to a size 8 or 10 depending on the clothes. I was on medications and a lot of people don't take into consideration that medicines can add some weight on you. I went through menopause at age 32-no, don't feel bad, I couldn't have any of my own kids...it's ok really was glad to be rid of it...but I was put on prempro...which I gained a ton of weight and didn't help me, I was also on wellbutrin and lipitor at the same time. The wellbutrin never helped me and the Dr changed it to Paxil which also did not help me. Now I take NO MEDICINES...I have percoset because I had a broken foot and even though was suppose to take it 2x a day, I only take it when I am dying of pain....don't wanna get hooked on any happy pills.....but anyway I have lost a lot of weight I had my gallbladder out in 2006. Since then everything I eat immediately leaves my body...very inconvenient but I have lost weight because of it. I exercise daily-not on weekends though and walk alot and w/out any of this being TMI, lotsa sex also burns calories. I was talking about this with a friend of mine. We were saying how some men or women aren't happy with their spouses due to weight gain then the man or women doesn't want to fool around as much and how much that defeats the purpose....I mean sex not only relieves stress, makes you feel good and attractive and wanted but lots of it burns off major calories...exercise alone is only helping me maintain. I weigh 107 now at one time in 2003 I weighed 287lbs. I have a lot of excess skin which I conceal well. I complain to my Fiance and he just says "if I hear one more time about that hanging skin..." it doesn't bother him so much as it bothers me....I can't afford now or ever plastic surgery and no insurance covers it....I wonder if there is like a teaching Hospital that would take volunteers for the newbie doctors to work on??? Anyone ever herar of this? Anyways, good luck on your endeavor...I also had gained weight because I only ate 1 meal a day. It is true that in order to lose weight you actually have to eat 3 meals a day make better choices like friuts and veggies more than carbs and fat and sugar and get more physical activity.....I bet you'll do great!!!!

Wow, thanks for sharing all that.
I'm actually 20, gonna be 21 in 1 month, 2 weeks, and 5 days(see the ticker in my signature, lol), but I'm up around 450 pounds and in the next 5 years will hopefully be back down to 170 pounds, which will put my BMI within a healthy range again, that being said, I know I'm not gonna just wake up one morning 280 pounds lighter, I know it's gonna take ALOT of work on my part, which will be tough especially starting school, which is when alot of people put on weight, but I digress, once I get my blog ready to go I'll post a link to it for any of you that are interested in reading it.

I'm not as young as Eric
But I've gained 75 lbs in 3 years of real estate. When i was a teacher, life was good and stressful, but not as stressful as it has been since my career change. Weight loss is truly about two things: Makeing a commitment and following up with the change that is necessary to make the difference.
Good luck and i'll keep you guys posted.
