It is indeed the biggest irony that we smoke to relieve our stress. In fact nicotine and other chemicals in smoke are stressors on the body.

When we are stressed, our brains released serotonin, our own natural stress buster. Smoking inhibits this natural process, so you become deficient in the very substance that would help you keep calm.

I think I am going to take up smoking again... all these impersonal facts really are getting to me. hahahahaha. were are the personal posts, where we talk about stuff from a personal point of view instead of spewing fact after fact we pick up from God knows were? I dont know, but a Forum is for Human Interaction, discussion, controversy and so forth...

If we are going to put up post after post for the sake of posting (excuse the redundance here) it is no fun and the brain goes into information overload until it does Kaaaaahboom and spreads little itty bitty pieces of grey matter all over the place. ewwww.

hmmm, really? whenever I'm having a stressful day I can pop in a dip(skoal) and about 15 minutes later I'm feeling nice and relaxed.

I thought people tend to smoke WHEN they are stressed - so in theory, they're making it worse off? I don't smoke, the smell annoys me, but then again maybe I just haven't been stressed enough.

I dont know what annoys me more... if the smoke of tobbacco or some people's dronningly gabbing like there is no tomorrow... ohhhhh.
