No worries. I posted a project for MyAdsNow on elance.com and I'm waiting on replies. Visa and Mastercard have been my best friends for such a long time. I really should give them a break. . .MyAdsNow.com is a long term project. When I get Bizintros.com up and running, I'll be able to take one anothe project. How you doing with getting members to this forum? Or what are you doing to increase membership?
Maybe you can advise me on my idea.

Congrats on the new baby!

Guerita, we are ONE member shy of doubling our membership since Steve took over this forum (about 220 days ago). At that time, TNJ had just 33 members total and now... 62! A real milestone.

This forum may not be large in membership but it certainly is warm, friendly, outgoing, positive and full of gente bonita. It is our home!

I guess my question should have been how to increase traffic to your forum? My site Bizintros.com is a business networking community and I have the basics covered:

Word of Mouth on and off line
Adwords
Ad Exchange
Link Exchange
I haven't decided on print media just yet.
Bloggers

what am I missing?

Well, first of all you are missing becoming a member of geek2.net (see my signature) and talkcal.com

Secondly, you need to move all your sites to Steve's servers...

And thirdly.... hmmmm, let me think, ok?

your on the right track with that list. What type of business networking is it? i see the Bizintros.com site is running phpfox so your headed towards social media type setup right?

its hard to get business people into a social style setup. cause people will hardly talk business when theres pics and stuff all over there. As you know there are a lot of types of business. online , brick and mortor , offices , etc so my question is what are you trying to do? all business in general?

if so then you have to really look at your competition. Most online business is webmaster forums like geek2.net , digitalpoint , sitepoint , talkfreelance , webtalkforums , etc.
(all those are vbulletin forums by the way)

So what are people going to have that they are missing from the other sites. my deal is i trying to give full and honest help on geek2 for the novice people just starting out. the bigger forums have to many people on there and tend to rip into noobs. so thats my niche. going after the new webmasters looking for guidance.

so whats your niche? why should they come to your site? what can you show or share that will benefit them? these are all things you need to ask yourself to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

Default To Be Continued

i've already asked myself these questions. Next week, I get into the database manipulation aspect and that's where the value will come in. I know my competition and I've studied them. my competition is not the sites you've mentioned.

I'll answer these questions when I'm able to demonstrate aspects of the site.

So, in the words of Back to the Future. . .TO BE CONTINUED.

Default on second thought

everysite is competition. I obviously want people to spend time on bizintros for themselves as a way to connect w/others within an online business setting.
