You asked how much to rent a camper and how are campers on gas.
I just tried to list all the variables involved in the gas thing, gas being over four dollars a gallon just now and campers being notorious gas guzzlers.
Did not meant it as an ofense, Moni. Just think: A vehicle advertised MPG is arrived to under controlled conditions such as flat and level ground, no wind, steady speed (no stop and go), nice weather and so forth.
In reality, it is the other way around with hilly terrain (which makes the engine work harder and thus wastes more gas), power requirements (same thing), airconditioning usage (same), size of camper (same), etc. So, if you do make your calculations (you can always ask a car rental company for a given vehicle's rated MPG and then use that figure along with cost of gas in your area and make the necessary adjustments for gas wasting variables to arrive to your actual cost (rental plus insurance plus gasoline plus other expenses). Clear now?
The backyard tent thing was merely because, if you backtrack on the thread, you will find I initially commented the very same thing somewhere.
As for the gas theft... this has been happening quite often lately, especially in the eastern seaboard states. check these out, there are tons of the same all over.
