Hey, I'm trying to prevent tears. When a dog goes by the force of nature he or she will not listen to his mommy or daddy. It's really scary what our babies can do to us so please keep your babies on leashes when out in new places until you can learn their behavior. I had to learn it the hard way.

My little one is never off of her leash. . .she'll probably run and never come back. They grow up so fast. She's almost two.

Mine is 10 and he's showing signs of old age. He is sick although we can't figure out what his problem is.

I agree with you. Even the best trained dogs, like my Nena, are hard to restrain under some circumstances. So imagine a non professionally trained dog yielding to the natural urges of their little hearts?

Nasty things are bound to happen. So pls be careful. I love my Nena and even if I may be a big mean brute myself... oi vei. Good post Moni dear!

Has your dog been taken to a geriatric specialist? If not, do so. And dont let the regular vet tell u otherwise....

No. He's been going to the same doctor since he was a pup. He's prescribed him pain meds for his joint issues, but it's hard for me to get him to take it. When I pick him up sometimes he yelps and I know it's the joint pain. I'll see if his insurance covers a specialist. I didn't know there was a such thing as a Center for Aging for dogs. Thanks! I watch a lot of animal planet and I have yet to see an aging specialist on there.

There is an old mexican saying (translated into gringo, so dem wont feel intimidated by beautiful Spanish): The devil knows more because he is old, not because he is the devil

So, stick with us... you will learn a lot more than you did ar Rutgers.

Happy to be of help.. to your doggy, not ya
