New Jersey Shore - A Guide Serving Jersey Shore Towns

When I was a kid I loved the beach but today I wont even look at the water it has been so polluted.

Anyone remember when (it might still be happening today

) the closed Keansburg and Sandy Hook because of the medical garbage (the really meant needles

) coming for Staten Island ??

i remember back in the day that was the place to fish. the very first fish i caught was a blowfish.

As far back as I could remember Keansburg beach was nasty. The water barely moved anyway and it's beach...eww. I love going to Seaside though and sitting on the beach. I don't go in the water because I'm just not a water person, but my DD goes in from time to time. I have a thing for boardwalks too.

I like going to Point Pleasant and Seaside, but I'll only go in the winter when the beaches are mostly empty.

As a child our family used to go to Sandy Hook and Atlantic City every other weekend. Those were the good old days when the beaches were free of vermin.
