New Jersey has an active forum board. We can all see this

But for the newbies to forum's, how would one go about promoting it? I know, people say that you have to have a niche. And well, mine's about free stuff and people say it's not going to fit. So far, they're right . But being the nutcase I am I still want to press forward to create forums with a community where people contribute - FREE STUFF.

Any tips for the pros here about how to promote / gain members?

I have relatively little funds...
